Terms & Conditions

When hiring from HYRD and completing this form, you automatically agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read carefully before placing a booking. 

 

1. Eligibility

  • You must be 18+ to hire with HYRD.
  • If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must book on your behalf.
  • HYRD may request a copy of your photo ID before sending out any hire. Refusal to provide ID will result in cancellation.

2. Care of Garments

Please treat all items as if they are your own.

  • All garments must be returned in the same condition they were hired in.
  • Be mindful when using fake tan, makeup, perfume, food, and drinks.
  • Do NOT clean, wash, dry-clean, iron, or alter the garment in any way.
  • Basic cleaning is included; however, additional cleaning fees may apply for significant staining.
  • If staining or damage cannot be repaired, the hirer is liable for the full RRP of the garment (separate from the hire fee). You may keep the item after paying the RRP.

3. Damage

  • You must immediately notify HYRD of any damage upon receiving or wearing the garment.
  • If the item is returned damaged:
    • Repair fees or extra dry-cleaning fees will be charged.
    • If the garment is damaged beyond repair, HYRD reserves the right to charge the full RRP. This is a separate, additional fee to the hire price. The item may then be kept by the hirer.
  • Any hire bookings cancelled due to your damaged return are your responsibility, and compensation may be charged.

4. Postage

  • HYRD charges $10 for express postage to you
  • You are responsible for express return postage.
  • All postal hires should be booked before 12pm Tuesday for weekend events.
  • Returns must be lodged over the counter at Australia Post with a lodgement receipt.
    Post boxes are not accepted.
  • If packaging or the return label is missing, you must purchase an Express Post satchel and contact HYRD for the return address.
  • If a parcel is returned without a lodgement receipt and goes missing, you are liable for the RRP of the garment.

5. Returns Postage Returns

  • Must be returned over the counter by 4pm Monday (for weekend events), or the next business day for weekday events.
  • A $15 late fee per day applies for late returns.

Pick-Up Returns

  • Must be returned by 5pm the next business day after your event unless discussed otherwise.
  • A $15 late fee per day applies for late returns.

6. Refunds & Credits

HYRD does NOT offer refunds for:

  • Change of mind
  • Sizing or fit issues
  • Event cancellations
  • Incorrect booking details
  • Australia Post delays

If your garment doesn’t suit, you must contact HYRD immediately.
Pick-up orders may be eligible for a same-day swap (subject to availability).

 

7. Try-Ons

  • A $10 non-refundable deposit is required to book a try-on appointment.
  • This amount will be deducted from your hire if you book within 48 hours.
  • Try-ons do not secure an item.
  • HYRD cannot guarantee all styles will be available unless confirmed in advance.

8. Payment

  • Garments are only secured once full payment is made.
  • HYRD does not offer holds, bonds, or partial payments.
  • Cash is accepted for pick-up hires.

9. Lost or Stolen Items

  • HYRD is not liable for theft after delivery by Australia Post.
  • If a parcel is stolen from your premises after delivery, you are responsible for covering the RRP of the garment.

10. Breach of Agreement

If items are not returned in hireable condition or fees are not paid within 7 days:

  • HYRD may refuse future hire requests at our discretion.
